Hands On Precision Ag Training

Twenty seven (27) interactive workshop will kick off 2021 for SPAA. Participants will learn how to get the most out of Precision Agriculture tools on their farm.

These free, interactive workshop will provide growers with hands-on experience with a range of PA technologies and how they can be used to identify and manage variability and improve productivity and profitability. Workshop sessions will focus on proven technologies and practices currently in use by growers and advisors including:

  • Is PA right for me? Introduction to terminology of hardware, software and much more
  • Identifying and quantifying variability & constraints and the causes for yield and profit variability
  • Where to and how to start address managing constraints with PA technologies
  • Predictive analytics
  • Tips and trick using mobile device, tablet and computer based integrative/farm management platforms.

Each workshop will feature a case study presentation from a leading local farmer to share their lessons and promote the benefits. These workshops will also provide growers a brief introduction into precision agriculture so each participant can develop PA implementation plan.

These workshops are suitable for farmers in the early stages of their PA journey, although all are welcome.

Workshops will take place nation-wide and content will be tailored to each regional location.

*Attendance is strictly limited to 20 people so registration is essential.
