Do you have a passion for Precision Agriculture and all the benefits it can deliver?

Are you a good relationship manager who loves to organise events and engage through social media?

Then this may be the opportunity that you have been looking for………………..

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our small team on a fixed term part time basis, initially for 14 months (0.8 FTE) to manage our positioning in the agriculture market in order to reach share, volume and profitability objectives of the SPAA brand. The role will take accountability for managing marketing related activities including events, programs and promotions which revolve around increasing grower adoption of Precision Agriculture across Australia; providing Precision Agriculture information using a variety of methods; enhancing the branding of SPAA; administration and reporting. 

To be successful you must have the following skills and abilities where your responsibilities include:

  • A marketing/sponsorship/relationship management background in order to grow revenue and increase membership.

  • An understanding of agricultural, environmental and natural resource management issues.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders queries and requests for information.

  • The ability to develop and implement effective agricultural education and promotional strategies and sound knowledge of and understanding of publication and exhibition preparation and production.

  • The ability to multi-task, and project and time management skills including preparing and updating project GANTT tables and using the data to drive outcomes.

  • Contribute actively to the planning, setup, involvement and attendance of PA field days, workshops and training initiatives as well as attend events to ensure SPAA offerings align to our overall brand strategy.

  • Prior experience on social media platforms and marketing will absolutely impress or a related tertiary qualification.

New factsheets launched

PAA supports innovation, and innovation also includes people. We are thrilled to launch our great new factsheets providing you with a snapshot and access to explain the capabilities of a range of PA tools and technologies that are applied across the grains industry. Here is the next instalment of six that are being made available to you.  

These factsheets look at a range of innovative practices and systems specifically machinery and equipment, and techniques, and also address the capacity to innovate to ensure that PA information outcomes are targeted and delivered in a timely and effective manner. The topics have been decided by you in our survey conducted in 2015. 

The key features of the factsheets are the tried and tested experiences, where we have profiled successful adoptors of the “said” innovation.
